چکیده
To investigate the effect of fluoride and silver nanoparticles on prevention in vitro demineralization sound enamel caries-like lesions varying severities. Caries-like different severities (1/6/15 days) were created bovine specimens. One group remained sound. All specimens demineralized again using a partially saturated acetic acid solution. Mimicking intra-oral retention vitro, this solution was supplemented with (0/1/10 ppm) and/or (0/10 factorial design. Changes lesion depth (?L) integrated mineral loss (??Z) evaluated by digital transverse microradiography. Data analyzed three-way ANOVA. Lesion severity significantly affected ??Z ?L, after no treatment independently (p = 0.012 p 0.037, respectively). Fluoride × interaction shown to be significant < 0.001) ?L. Silver 0.041), but not ?L 0.15). The for 0.032 0.024, No observed between 0.962 0.971, respectively) as well use combined 0.722 0.158, had may potentially allow more tailored caries prevention.

Prevention of enamel demineralization with a novel fluoride strip: enamel surface composition and depth profile
There is no topically applicable low concentration fluoride delivery device available for caries prevention. This study was aimed to assess the use of a low concentration (1450 ppm) fluoride strip as an effective fluoride delivery system against enamel demineralization. The enamel surface composition and calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite or toothpaste treatments were investigated using X-ray pho...
متن کاملEffect of fluoride toothpastes on enamel demineralization
BACKGROUND It was the aim of this study to investigate the effect of four different toothpastes with differing fluoride compounds on enamel remineralization. METHODS A 3 x 3 mm window on the enamel surface of 90 human premolars was demineralized in a hydroxyethylcellulose solution at pH 4.8. The teeth were divided into 6 groups and the lower half of the window was covered with varnish serving...
متن کاملFluoride varnishes with calcium glycerophosphate: fluoride release and effect on in vitro enamel demineralization.
The aims of this study were (1) to assess the amount of fluoride (F) released from varnishes containing calcium glycerophosphate (CaGP) and (2) to assess the effect of the experimental varnishes on in vitro demineralization. Six test groups using 5 varnishes: base varnish (no active ingredients); Duraphat® (2.26% NaF); Duofluorid® (5.63% NaF/CaF2); experimental varnish 1 (1% CaGP/5.63% NaF/CaF2...
متن کاملTiming of fluoride toothpaste use and enamel-dentin demineralization.
It is well established that fluoride (F) prevents caries development by inhibiting demineralization and enhancing remineralization processes. However, it is not known which of these protective mechanisms is more important. In this double-blind, crossover in situ study conducted in three phases of 14 days each, 12 volunteers wore palatal appliances containing enamel and root dentin slabs, on whi...
